Gene excels in pickpocket entertainment. He became one of the most prominent
magicians in the Midwest by perfecting the art
of pickpocketing. Not content to be just another pickpocket magician, Gene
perfected the art of watch trading by transferring watches from wrist-to-wrist
throughout his entire show while collecting an array of pens, wallets and an
occasional necktie. His signature trick is to remove a watch from
one person and place it on the wrist of another without either suspecting the
switch.
Gene confesses: " I took the watches of 22 people in a single show without their knowledge!"
Following his magic show, Gene can perform a pickpocket demonstration. Using
a volunteer from the audience (no planted shills!), Gene is able to remove personal
items such as watch, wallet, keys, tie, comb, etc., illustrating how quickly a
professional pickpocket can distract and collect valuables. While the volunteer
is unaware of the items disappearing, the audience is not. This results in some
hilarious moments as the flabbergasted "victim" realizes that even
forewarned they couldn't catch "America's Most Wanted (and friendliest)
Pickpocket" in action!
At the end of the pickpocket demonstration, Gene delivers Pickpocket Prevention
and Identity Theft Protection Tips to inform the audience about how they can
protect themselves from thieves.
